Three US college basketball players who were caught shoplifting in China have returned to their homeland.
LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley became part of an international incident when they were allegedly caught shoplifting in China last week. The trio are part of the University of California, Los Angeles team that played their regular season opener in Shanghai last Saturday.
But before the Pac-12 China Game, the three freshmen apparently tried to swipe some sunglasses from a Louis Vitton store in neighboring Hangzhou. They were all detained for a week, before being allowed to return home.

The school later held a press conference to discuss the situation. The players all expressed remorse for their actions, and even thanked the US President for his role in helping them return – Donald Trump did tweet about it.
UCLA's head coach Steve Alford says the trio are suspended indefinitely.
