Barcelona kept their unbeaten run going against Levante this week with a 3-0 thrashing but, going forward, staying on top of La Liga may be even easier as they now have Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian is expected to be officially unveiled as a Barcelona player on Monday following the announcement of his 160 million euro (around 192.7 million US dollars) move from Liverpool.
The hosts took the advantage inside 12 minutes, as Messi netted the opener, his 365th goal on his 400th La Liga appearance.
Sergi Roberto rampaged down the right and fed Luis Suarez inside the box - his first touch and strike on the second was sumptuous, giving Barca a convincing 2-nil lead before half time.

Barcelona rounded out the victory in the third minute of added time as Messi's low ball across goal at the end of a jinking run was turned in by Paulinho, extending the team's unbeaten run in all competitions to 26 games.
Shortly after Ernesto Valverde's men secured three points at home, the Catalan giants presented Philippe Coutinho at the Nou Camp. The 25-year-old forward walked out on stage and posed for the cameras, before giving a brief speech about how he feels to be with the club.
