The death toll from Saturday’s two bomb attacks in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu has risen to 85, Reuters reported.
Police Capt. Mohamed Hussein said many victims died at the hospitals from their wounds.
The blast occurred when a truck loaded with explosives hit the city's K5 Junction, a busy road lined with government offices, hotels and restaurants.
The blast was reportedly targeting a hotel.
According to Xinhua, a police officer at the scene said the blast smashed doors, windowpanes and shook some buildings in the city.
A second blast was reported hours later in the city's Madina district, Reuters reports citing local police.
One suspect in the second blast was questioned by police on suspicion of planting explosives.
It is not clear if the two blasts were linked and there has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
