Travel chaos as the UK bears brunt of snow storm

Parts of the UK woke up to a snowy scene on Sunday, as heavy snowfall spread across the country. Up to ten inches of snow was predicted in some places.
Snow caused travel disruptions across central England and northern Wales, grounding flights, shutting down roads and causing traffic accidents.
Birmingham and London Stansted Airports suspended flights as runways were cleared. The airports both advised passengers to contact their airlines to check their flight status.
