Over 1.8 million people have visited the Beijing expo so far. 75 percent of them visited the China Pavilion. With an average daily visit of over 40,000, the top priority for organizers of China pavilion is to work hard and make sure that people have a wonderful experience there.

LI JIULONG, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR CHINA PAVILION "Summer is almost here. The weather is getting hotter and hotter. We need to look after the queuing visitors, providing them with awning and heatstroke preventives. We have also set up green passageways for those who are old, weak, ill, disabled or pregnant."

TANG BO BEIJING "Live data of visitor flow at the China Pavilion is obtained by the expo's monitoring center. Measures to ensure that visitors enter easily and leave smoothly have therefore been taken at the pavilion based on the data collected every 15 minutes. Grid management has also been adopted here which divides the pavilion into 7 areas where managing responsibilities are specified to individuals."

The most crucial point pavilion operators have kept in mind throughout the entire operation planning is the instantaneous carrying capacity of the structure. For the China Pavilion, the capacity is 5,215 people.

LI JIULONG, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR CHINA PAVILION "We've decided to adopt the grid management and live data monitoring system based on the pavilion's maximum carrying capacity. As a result, we are able to report and solve problems immediately, monitor visitor flow and take different measures accordingly to keep it under control."

Many people will visit the expo on the China Pavilion Day and for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival, and more visitors are even expected to use their summer vacation as an opportunity to pay a visit to the event. Expo organizers will thus plan and organize more activities for visiting children and students.
