As China enters the final stages of its annual political season, key state leadership positions will be determined in the next four days. And ahead of that, the presidium, or standing executive committee, of the National People's Congress decided to put to vote a draft resolution on restructuring the State Council institutions in the upcoming NPC plenary meeting. On Saturday, lawmakers will elect leaders and members of the Standing Committee, the president and vice president of the state, and chairperson of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China. Deputies will also vote on a draft resolution on restructuring the State Council institutions. On Sunday, they will elect the premier, vice chairman and members of the Central Military Commission; director of the supervisory commissions; as well as the country's supreme justice and procurator.
