Farewell Tiangong-1: China's first space lab re-enters atmosphere
[]
China's first space lab, Tiangong-1, has re-entered the Earth's atmosphere at around 0815 BJT. The China Manned Space Engineering Office says it should hit somewhere in the South Pacific region. The space lab has mostly burnt up in the atmosphere and it's highly unlikely to cause any damage on the ground. The Tiangong-1 was launched in September 2011, and completed its mission in March 2016. It's China's first step towards realizing its own space station by 2022.
