Leonardo da Vinci's famous Mona Lisa can be found in print, online, and of course, at the Louvre Museum in Paris. But what would it be like to meet the WOMAN in real life? You'll get that chance in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing, where a makeup ARTIST is TRANSFORMING herself into Mona Lisa, and other figures. CGTN's Yang Jinghao tells us more.
Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, even Cristiano Ronaldo. With her stunning makeup skills, He Yuhong from the city of Chongqing can transform herself into almost anyone she wants to be.
HE YUHONG BEAUTY BLOGGER "I used to work in a makeup training school before starting my own studio. I've shared some beauty makeup tutorials online, but this year I just started copying the celebrities."
The subjects of some world-famous paintings are also her targets. The 27-year-old shot to fame overnight months ago after she "revived" Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. The video clip received tens of thousands of views and comments shortly after she uploaded it to popular websites like Douyin and Youtube.
HE YUHONG BEAUTY BLOGGER "Actually, I was a little afraid rather than excited to see all the new likes, comments and followers. I am worried that maybe my imitation made some people uncomfortable. After all, Mona Lisa is a great work."
To her surprise, the majority of the feedback was positive. Amazed Internet users have flocked to her accounts on different platforms, encouraging the shape-shifting master to take on a variety of roles, including some characters from costume dramas. She even made some costumes and accessories on her own.

Yuhong is just one of a growing number of "online celebrities" or Wanghong in China. She says social networking platforms tremendously help people with special skills showcase themselves. And as she'll tell you, it's paying off; she's starting to pick up work with some makeup brands.
