"Internet Plus" plugs online world deeper into reality

The Internet is spreading into ever deeper parts of the real world as can be seen at the 16th China Internet Conference.
The conference, taking place this week in Beijing, will focus on greater parts of the offline world that are getting hooked up to the net.
A helmet, for example, is being used not only with virtual reality but mixed reality which enables digital images to be superimposed onto the real world you see. It has been used in areas such as industrial design and smart city planning.
The idea of "Internet Plus" is also transforming education. With just one app, 15,000 English teachers get connected to 140,000 students in China.
In the past few years, purely online applications like social networking have claimed the limelight. Now broader areas of the offline world are seeing new impacts from the latest in Internet technology.
