A ferry carrying over 300 passengers has run aground in high winds at France's Calais Port on Sunday, AFP reports citing a local official and the P&O shipping company.
The vessel is stable and no injuries have been reported, the local official said.
The ferry, The Pride of Kent, belongs to the P&O shipping company. A spokesperson for the company said the vessel ran aground after it hit a gangway while maneuvering to leave for the British port of Dover.
The spokesperson said the vessel is now afloat and hopes to transfer passengers to another ship as soon as possible.
