The "future challenges of smart vehicles" competition has kicked off in eastern China. The three-day event sees driverless cars and manned autos racing through the streets. Smart cars are tested for their safety, smoothness, and intelligence among others. To make the race more challenging, manned cars are operated by seasoned drivers.
