China’s national anthem was played at the annual memorial for Nanjing Massacre victims on Wednesday. The ceremony marked the 80th anniversary of the event which saw hundreds of thousands of Chinese killed in the six weeks following the Japanese invasion of the then capital on December 13, 1937.
