We had a look around a Beijing home valued at four million yuan (around 600,000 US dollars) and compared it to homes for the same price in nine other hot and not-so-hot property markets. From apartments to villas, school district housing to sea views, we take you on a tour of desirable residences hosted by their owners.
Chen Guoxia and her family live in the downtown area of a city in Tanzania. Their house is 130 square meters in total, with three bedrooms, two living rooms, two bathrooms and four balconies. It costs 170,000 US dollars, about the average level in their city. Real estate in Tanzania is still in the initial stage of development, with the property rights of a house there lasting 99 years.
