Hundreds of thousands of crabs were spotted on Thursday gathering off the coast of Qingdao, east China’s Shandong Province. /VCG Photo
The crabs, known as Macrophthalmus japonicus, are the size of a coin and are widespread across the Indo-Pacific. They don’t actually have much economic value, seeing as how they're so small. /VCG Photo
These little fellas are a welcoming sign of a good environment in Qingdao, which is known as the “Switzerland of the Orient” – Qingdao. /VCG Photo
