South Korean President Moon Jae-in, speaking at a meeting of the National Security Council, said that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea's (DPRK) launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) was a "reckless action”. This came after the DPRK confirmed that it had successfully tested a second “Hwasong 14” ICBM on Friday night.
Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) also reported that the launch of the missile was a “stern warming” to the US, and as a response, Moon Jae-in said that South Korea and the US will strengthen their military readiness and “maintain a close cooperation system” based on the South Korea-US alliance.
