Chinese short-track speed skater Wu Dajing won the 500-meter men’s short track speed skating final at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics on Thursday, claiming the first gold medal for Team China at this year’s Games.
Wu broke the world record twice on Thursday night, at both the quarterfinals and the final of the men's 500m short track speed skating, setting a new world record of 39.584 seconds.
