Aamir Khan is Vivo India's new brand ambassador

China's leading smartphone maker Vivo on Monday appointed Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan as its brand ambassador for India.
Aamir has been signed for future brand and product communication initiatives of Vivo India, the company announced in a statement.
"We are thrilled about the possibilities that our partnership with one of the world's biggest superstars, Aamir Khan, will open up for Vivo in India," said Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Vivo India Kenny Zeng.
"This new association will enable us to explore newer avenues to reach our customers as we script our future growth strategy in India," Zeng added.
Aamir will soon be seen in a full-fledged marketing campaign for upcoming products and a new TV commercial.
"Vivo as a brand embodies the spirit of innovation and meaningful disruption," said Aamir. "Over the years, the brand has constantly been pushing the boundaries of smartphone technology. I am enthused to be a part of Vivo's transformative journey in India.”
Khan has starred in blockbusters including Dangal and Three Idiots, enthralling the Chinese audience. Khan, who is known for a perfectionist attitude towards acting, has a huge fan following in China.
With the appointment of Khan, the mobile giant has replaced actor Ranveer Singh as its brand ambassador. 
After entering the Indian market, Vivo was associated with significant sports events including Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pro-Kabaddi League.
Chinese mobile manufacturers with a significant market share in India have signed in with reputable actors and sportspeople in the country.
Oppo has roped in cricketers Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin; OnePlus has veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan; and Katrina Kaif is promoting Xiaomi Y Series. 
At the Mobile World Congress 2018 (MWC) in Barcelona in February, Vivo launched a "FullView" concept for smartphone “APEX”, which has the world's highest screen-to-body ratio and half-screen in-display fingerprint scanning technology.
