The Foreign Ministry says the resumption of diplomatic ties with Burkina Faso conforms to the trend of the times and meets the consensus of the international community, and that accusations by Taiwan authorities of "dollar diplomacy" is baseless and pure slander.

It conforms with international laws and norms of international relations, which suits the long term benefits of both countries. Their recognition and adherence of the 'One China Principle' and returning to the big family of friendly cooperation between China and Africa shows that it is the irreversible trend.
