US Tariffs: White House targets both rivals and allies with trade moves

The Trump Administration's trade policy is hitting road blocks around the world. Washington's biggest trading partners oppose the US tariffs. CGTN White House Correspondent Jessica Stone has the details.

Beijing has warned that tariffs - and other trade actions - will roll back recent progress made in Washington.

Last week, the U.S. launched tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from the EU, Canada and Mexico. Washington says it's trying to prevent Chinese metals from coming into the U.S. through other countries.
But at a meeting of major U.S. trading partners over the weekend-universal condemnation. finance ministers - saying when U.S. President Donald Trump arrives in Canada for the G7 economic talks, they'll demand that he restore free, "predictable" and mutually beneficial trade.
