Dubai is looking to lead the world in modern transport and, as part of this strategy, it's now testing science-fiction-inspired autonomous pods. Manufactured in Italy by US-based company Next Future Transportation, the fully-electric vehicles have a top speed of 80 kilometers an hour and they can carry as many as 10 people -- six sitting and four standing. The Gulf city is looking to increase the proportion of self-driving vehicles on its streets in the next decade.
