Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo will only be able to watch his team play for the next five matches.  The Portugal international, a forward, was handed a suspension after pushing a referee following his dismissal in Real Madrid's 3-1 win against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup first leg on Sunday.
He is also being fined 38,000 euros, while his team will be fined 1,750 euros.
Ronaldo, having already been cautioned for taking his shirt off after scoring in the 3-1 win at the Nou Camp, was shown a second yellow card in the 82nd minute for diving - sending him off. The Portuguese star responded to his dismissal by shoving referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea in the back before making his way off the pitch.
He will now miss the second leg of the Supercopa against Barca at the Bernabeu on Wednesday, as well as Real's opening four La Liga matches.
Ronaldo, 32, could appeal in 10 days.
