Xi and Trump visit three main halls in Forbidden City

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Donald Trump visited the three main halls of the Forbidden City on Wednesday, together with First Ladies Peng Liyuan and Melania Trump.
They visited the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of Central Harmony and the Hall of Preserving Harmony after having tea in the Forbidden City.
In front of the Hall of Supreme Harmony, Xi and Peng took photos with their guests after walking through the Gate of Supreme Harmony.
During the tour of the ancient palace, Xi briefed the visiting couple on the museum's history, architecture and culture.
Xi said that the Chinese civilization is a unique lasting culture in the world that has been passed down through generations consistently.
Chinese people can be traced back to 5,000 years ago, Xi said, and with black hair and yellow skin, Chinese call themselves descendants of the dragon.
