M6.0 earthquake hits Myanmar's southern region

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar's Bago region in the early hours of Friday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake reportedly struck at 00:56 a.m. local time.

The epicenter was 27.3 km west-southwest of Phyu City in Bago region.

There were no reports of casualties or damages from the earthquake so far.
