Beijing is gearing up for the 19th CPC National Congress which will convene next week. And paving the way for that is the seventh and last plenary session for the 18th CPC Central Committee. It concluded on Saturday, with a communique being issued. The Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee presided over the session, of which 191 members and 141 alternate members of the CPC Central Committee attended.
The session analyzed the current situation, discussed several important issues concerning the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the grand project of the Party building, as well as the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
For the most valuable points from the seventh plenary session, professor Fu Jun from Peking University said that this is a final exam and time to take stock and look forward. The Party has been well prepared for the 19th CPC National Congress. General direction has been set and a strong team is needed to operate the general direction.
