South Korea and the DRPK have held working-level talks to lay the groundwork for the inter-Korean summit later this month.
South Korea says Pyongyang sought to discuss protocol, security, and media issues. The talks at the border village of Panmunjom were initially scheduled for Wednesday, but the DPRK asked for a postponement till today.
More talks are scheduled for Saturday to discuss how to establish an inter-Korean hotline. The full inter-Korean summit is planned for the 27th of this month. A senior official from the presidential Blue House said on Wednesday that denuclearization and peace will be the main topic. Economic co-operation is unlikely to be on the agenda.
