After a brave run in 2018 World Cup qualifying, China are up to the fourth position in FIFA men's world rankings of the top teams in Asia, their highest position since 2004, and with 626 points are now ranked 57th in the world.
At the 34th in the world, Iran leads Asia with 784 points, followed by Australia and Japan at 43rd and 44th. China are above 62nd -ranked South Korea for the first time since 1996.
The best mover was Turkmenistan, who rose 22 spots to the 114th. Ecuador suffered the biggest drop of 25 places to sit at the 60th in the world rankings.
