NASA launched a planet-hunting satellite Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (Tess) on Wednesday to scan the skies for signs of potentially inhabitable planets. The Tess, carried by a SpaceX Falcon rocket during the launch, aims for an orbit stretching all the way to the moon. It will scan almost the entire sky for at least two years to scour the planets' atmospheres for any of the ingredients of life.
