Folk customs and activities play a big part of Spring Festival celebrations across China.

In the Xilingol League of the Inner Mongolia, herdsmen in traditional costume vie for the honors in an exciting horse race. The lion dance is a tradition in most areas for Spring Festival. In Linyi City of Shandong Province, a pack of little lions thrilled viewers, dancing high above on pillars. And in Meizhou city of Guangdong Province, it's fishing without a pole. Hundreds of farmers jump into a muddy field, competing for the biggest catch.
