Massive fire breaks out at hotel in Yangon, Myanmar

A huge fire broke out at the Kandawgyi Palace Hotel, a popular tourist destination in Yangon, southern Myanmar, almost entirely destroying the building early Thursday.
The fire, which started at about 3 a.m. local time, intensified after gas cylinders exploded, eyewitnesses said.
"Fire has been burning down the hotel for the last two hours. At present, the guests have been evacuated to safety," an official from the fire service department told Xinhua News Agency.
