CGTN invites you to the flag-raising ceremony on National Day

The flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square in Beijing is a tradition in China on National Day, October 1. Even though held in the early morning, the popular event attracts tens of thousands of spectators every year. In 2016, over 100,000 people watched the ceremony with many coming from other cities, including a 90-year old Tibetan lady confined to a wheelchair.
