At least five people were killed and eight others injured after an explosion rocked the Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday, according to the spokesman for Afghanistan's interior ministry.
The blast happened at around 10:00 a.m. local time close to the US embassy when some officials were collecting their salaries.
A suicide bomber detonated explosives near a private bank and close to Massoud Circle.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
