Iran's death toll from the 7.3-maginitude earthquake that struck the Iran-Iraq border has climbed to 530, said the country's state-run news agency on Tuesday.
According to the IRNA news agency, the number injured in the earthquake now stands at 7,460.
President Hassan Rouhani arrived this morning at the stricken area in Kermanshah province and promised that the government would "use all its power to resolve the problems in the shortest time".
Rouhani also said his administration will probe the cause of how so much damage was inflicted to buildings constructed under a state-owned program in the quake-stricken area, said the report.
