China has decided to construct its first “Mars Village” in west Qinghai Province. The landform here is similar to that on the Mars, according to Xinhua News Agency on Wednesday. /Xinhua Photo

The project, Mars Village also known as Mars Base will combine tourism with science and technology. Visitors could have a simulation experience of space and a chance to gain knowledge about astronomy and aerospace. In the meanwhile, the village will be used for to shoot movie and TV programs. /Xinhua Photo
