China's domestic-built stealth plane, the J-20, has been officially commissioned for the air combat force. This was announced by senior colonel Shen Jinke, the spokesperson of the Chinese PLA Air Force on Friday.

The J-20 is China's fourth-generation medium and long-range fighter jet. It made its maiden flight in 2011 and was first shown to the public at the 11th Airshow China in south China Zhuhai in November of 2016. The jet also made its presence felt at the PLA 90th anniversary military parade. As a masterpiece of China's modern air force, the stealth fighter J-20 symbolizes the high speed of development in China's national defense capabilit.
