Sports Scene bounces along to tennis and the semi-finals of the Miami Open. Where French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko toppled unseeded Danielle Collins who upset Venus Williams in the quarters. The 20-year-old, now moves onto the final, looking to add to her two titles. The French Open winner would meet the winner of the Sloane Stephens, and Victoria Azarenka contest.
The 13th seed had already beaten, Angelique Kerber and Garbine Muguruza earlier in the tournament, and was looking to knock off the Belarussian.
But a poor start sees the world number 12 drop the first set 6-3 after finding the net.
The Belarussian is leading 2-1 in the second, when the wheels come off, the American wins this point with a deep ball into the corner, that allows her to volley it into the open court. Stephens wins the last five games of the frame, to force a decider.
The US Open champ blitzes through the final set, dropping 1 game in the process, as Azarenka's return is long on match point. Stephens wins in three sets and moves into her first-ever final in Key Biscayne.
