Chinese Taipei's Hsieh Su-Wei was looking to continue her Cinderella run Down Under. The veteran knocked off Wimbledon champ Garbine Muguruza in her previous match, and could reach the fourth round of a major for just the second time in her career, as she battled former world number two, Agnieszka Radwanska.
Radwanska dropped the opening set 6-2, facing triple break point in the sixth game of the second. Thanks to a good drop shot, the player from Taiwan leads 4-2.  But Agnieszka Radwanska claws back. She breaks back and holds with a heavy serve to even proceedings at 4.

Hsieh is in solid form, and moves a game from advancing by winning her next service game at love, when the Polish hits this return well wide.
Off to the 12th game, the world number 88 has a break point to claim the victory. She is able to do so when her return is too good for Radwanksa. Hsieh prevails in straight sets 6-2, 7-5, and advances into the fourth round of a major for just the second time in her career.
Elsewhere, Japan's Naomi Osaka surprises by defeating home favorite Ashleigh Barty 6-4, 6-2.

The fire storm of Asian players also prevails in men’s single where Chung Hyeon of South Korea would be facing fourth ranked Alex Averev. The South Korean comes from 2-sets-to-1 down to force a fifth set, leading 3-love with the volley.
Chung would go on to win 12 of the final 15 games to cause an upset and prevail to reach the fourth round. The German has never made it to the last 16 of a Grand Slam as Chung will get Novak Djokovic next.
