Missile Attack in Syria: Monitor: Strike kills 14, including Iranian forces

An early morning missile strike on a Syrian government air base has killed 14 fighters, including allied Iranian forces, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The airbase is located in the central province of Homs.
Air defenses shot down at least eight missiles before reaching their target. State media said the attack was most likely carried out by the United States. But several Washington officials have denied it. This attack comes after US President Donald Trump, on Sunday, warned there would be a big price to pay, when reports of a chemical attack in the rebel-held town of Douma emerged.
