China's anti-corruption campaign has gone deeper and lasted longer than many expected. Is the battle far from over?
In a renewed commitment to fighting corruption, China plans to strengthen supervision on public servants at all levels. This is part of measures laid out by the top disciplinary body as the road map for 2017. The most recent campaign has so far brought thousands of corrupt officials to justice.
Pilot reforms will be carried out in 2017 to further strengthen the supervision system. The goal is to ensure clean governance for China's political landscape. Will the anti-corruption campaign go wherever there is suspicion, no matter if the person is high level or just at the grassroots level?
In this “What is China?” special, CGTN’s reporter Zhang Nini looks at how far the campaign will go.
