China-Russia bilateral media project closes in Beijing

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and visiting Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev have attended the closing ceremony of the 2016-2017 China-Russia media cross-years project. The cooperative event was launched back in December 2015. Since then, media outlets from both countries have carried out 260 bilateral initiatives across all sectors of the media.
Premier Li said the event helped people in China and Russia better understand each other, and that the closing ceremony marks a new start for bilateral media cooperation. Li expressed that this media cooperation event has strengthened the friendship between the publics in China and Russia. It has also provided a platform for media outlets from the two countries to learn from each other. Premier Li noted that the event has been an exemplary case in the history of international media cooperation.
Medvedev hailed the various achievements made during the past two years, saying the program's success is reflected in the enhanced relations between the two countries. He said, "Over the past two years, we have not only worked together diligently, but have also had the chance to work together, creating meaningful personal relationships. These have injected new vitality to cultural exchanges between our two countries, and have also brought about new opportunities."
