Chinese International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Yang Yang has praised the potential participation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the upcoming Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. The 41-year-old former speed skater, a two-time Olympic champion, believes the DPRK and the Republic of Korea (ROK) marching side-by-side at the opening ceremony is an exciting prospect and will represent the Olympic spirit. Currently, the DPRK, the ROK, the IOC and the PyeongChang organizing committee are in talks to finalize proceedings.
