French actress Isabelle Huppert says she would loves to work with Chinese director Diao Yinan. In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Huppert spoke of her admiration for Diao, who clinched the Golden Bear award for Best Film at the 2014 Berlin Film Festival for Black Coal, Thin Ice.
Huppert has already visited China once this year, appearing in Shanghai for the 2017 Croisement Festival, where she joined Chinese director Jia Zhangke for a discussion on film.
The French actress has appeared in more than 110 films since making her screen debut in 1971. Huppert is the most nominated actress for the César Award, having been put forward no fewer than 16 times, winning twice.
She has scooped awards at the Cannes, Berlin and Venice Film Festivals. Earlier this year, she also won the Best Actress at the Golden Globes for her performance in “Elle.”
