Peyongchang Winter Olympics' opening ceremony just closed a hour ago. We take a quick review here. The ceremony started with a countdown, which ended with a bell ringing in the center of the stadium - symbolizing peace and harmony. After a short opening show, South Korea President Moon jae-in, IOC President Thomas Bach and other countries and regions' leaders and representatives entered the stadium, including a high-level delegation from the DPRK and Chinese President Xi Jinping's representative, Han Zheng.
Accompanied by 13 songs, teams from different countries and regions entered the stadium. Athletes from both South Korea and the DPRK marched together under a unification flag at the very end.
The president of Pyeongchang 2018, Lee Hee-Beom and IOC President Thomas Bach gave their brief speeches in order. Both praised the unification team. South Korean President Moon Jae-in announced the official opening of Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
At the end of the opening ceremony, South Korean figure skating superstar Kim Yuna lit the Olympic cauldron, which will burn during the games.
