M4.9 earthquake hits Songyuan in NE China's Jilin Province

A 4.9-magnitude earthquake jolted Songyuan City in northeast China's Jilin Province at 7:13 a.m. BJT on Sunday, reported the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
According to CENC, the epicenter, with a depth of about 12 kilometers, was 18 km from downtown of Songyuan, a city of over 2.78 million inhabitants and 153 km from Harbin, capital of neighboring Heilongjiang Province.

The tremors were also felt in Changchun, Jilin's provincial capital, and Harbin.
