Foreign ministers of eight Eurasian countries, including China, Russia, India and Pakistan, are in Beijing for the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Wu Guoxiu reports.

Eight foreign ministers from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization met in Beijing on Tuesday. They are gathered to discuss international and regional issues that concern all parties.
The top priority, to prepare for the leaders' summit in June in Qingdao city.
WANG YI CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTER "We have signed 14 resolutions. Most of the resolutions will be in the draft to be signed during the Qingdao Summit. These include the declaration of the SCO member countries, a long-term treaty of friendship among neighboring countries, an outline of plans for the next five years, and cooperation from many other perspectives. This foreign ministers' council meeting has basically covered most of the agreements we will make at the Qingdao Summit."
Foreign ministers agree member states will step up connecting China's Belt and Road Initiative with each country's own developing plan.
They'll also work to promote trade.
WANG YI CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTER "To promote practical cooperation, all parties should advocate a framework that sticks to achieving mutual benefits and common development. We should speed up the signing of agreements in specific fields. We should improve the convenience of international transportation and constantly improve the level of regional trade facilitation and interconnectivity. The practical cooperation of member states should go further."
Since China took the chairmanship of the SCO last June, it held over 120 events including meetings on anti-terrorism, trade, politics and youth exchanges.
Before the June summit, there'll also be meetings for supreme court judges, tourism ministers, political parties, and the media.
