Fortune Global Forum opens on December 6 in S China

The Fortune Global Forum, one of the most important gatherings on business development worldwide, will open on December 6 in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
The theme of this year's three-day event is "Openness & Innovation: Shaping the Global Economy".
Over 700 delegates have confirmed their attendance to the event, including multinational CEOs, heads of China’s most influential companies and world leaders, said Alan Murray, president of Fortune, in a press conference on Sunday. 
Participants will include Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, and chairmen Bill Ford of Ford, Jack Ma of Alibaba, Pony Ma of Tencent, along with senior executives from over 100 global Fortune 500 companies. World leaders including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are also expected to attend. 
This year’s forum will focus on globalization and digitization from a business perspective. Key issues facing multinational companies at a crucial time of change in China and the global economy will also be discussed.

Forum attendees will share their thoughts on the future of global trade, finance, and e-commerce, as well as on industries such as health care, urban development, and transportation. 
New areas of the economy will also be tackled, such as Artificial Intelligence, sharing economy, the Internet of things, and Fintech.
According to Fortune, the first-ever Fortune Brainstorm TECH International will be held from December 5 to 6 in Guangzhou as well.
This new conference is a spin-off of Fortune’s annual Brainstorm TECH event in the US and will be permanently based in the southern city. Starting this year, the conference will convene world leaders in the innovation economy space every year, and explore the innovation revolution unfolding in China.
