Northeast China is currently experiencing the heaviest snowfall this winter. And the national observatory has issued a yellow alert -- the second-lowest on the four-color alert system.
Weather authorities said it expected about 5 to 15 centimeters of snow in parts of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces. Blizzards are expected to bring strong wind and temperature drops. Residents are advised to stay indoors and take travel precautions. The snow is expected to weaken from Thursday.
