As the Chinese New Year is falling on Friday, CGTN asked people from around the world about their views of the festival, and what they wish for in the upcoming Year of the Dog.
Dragons and lanterns seem to be two of the main impressions that most people have about the festival, and many believed that being reunited with families is the most important thing to do. "This is mostly a family festival," said a foreign tourist in Beijing.
With the New Year being just hours away, people around the world have expressed their wishes. A Scottish woman who's in the business of selling crabs hoped that everyone in China would be eating their crabs this new year.
