Moving to other aspects of the Chinese economy now. China's goal of a more open economy comes complete with improvements to its business environment.
Several sectors have combined to implement related policies since the dawn of business affairs reforms in the country. China has made opening new businesses much more convenient by advancing online government affairs services and raising work proficiency. But experts say problems of imbalance and inadequacy remain. Officials say the government's next step should be to advance reforms for building a solid international business environment.
XIONG MAOPING, DIRECTOR GENERAL REGISTRATION BUREAU OF STATE ADMINISTRATION FOR MARKET REGULATION "We will spread Beijing and Shanghai's experience in improving market access nationwide. On the international front, we will shorten the entire opening application period from 8.5 days to 5 days. E-government services are expected to be advanced to handle all procedures, covering all market subjects and work flows. The government will also guide online applications of business openings and promote electronic licenses. By reforming this process, we strive to provide a more transparent and convenient business environment."
