China is demanding the United States stop enacting unilateral sanctions against Chinese entities and individuals by its domestic laws. China calls the move "long-arm jurisdiction". The comments come after Washington said it's imposing its largest package of sanctions to pressure the DPRK.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said in a statement, that China has been comprehensively and strictly implementing UN Security Council resolutions on the DPRK. He said China has lodged "stern representations" with the US over the sanctions. The targets include shipping and energy firms in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
