As part of preparations for the China International Import Expo, Shanghai's Jinshan district government has announced dozens of deals with foreign companies and says it also plans to build a service park for small firms. Sun Siqi has more.
The district signed a memorandum of understanding with the city government for the promotion of international trade. It also inked 12 deals with foreign companies in fields including real estate, aircraft interiors and silica gel for medical use.

With the import expo, we think it's always a good opportunity to meet more potential suppliers, clients and colleagues, and to learn from them."

As of this month, Jinshan District has signed agreements for more than 20 projects involving overseas companies this year. The total investment is expected to reach 670 million US dollars.
ZHANG QUANQUAN, DEPUTY HEAD JINSHAN DISTRICT "We have introduced policies to encourage foreign businesses to locate in Jinshan. The policies cover technical issues to helping employees adapt to their new surroundings. We will further improve services for overseas companies. It's all part of a plan to welcome the China International Import Expo."
At present, Jinshan is planning to build an international service park for small companies making intelligent equipment or in the design field. The service park is expected to open by the end of 2020.
